Reporting to the Head of Group Campaigns & Strategic Projects, the Campaigns Manager is responsible for overseeing Pieta’s flagship annual fundraising campaign, Darkness Into Light and plays a key role in the overall delivery of income across all channels for this campaign. In addition to this, the role will be responsible for driving and developing additional public engagement and fundraising campaigns.
Role & Responsibilities:
This is a key role in the delivery of Pieta’s fundraising – engaging with more than 100,000 people worldwide annually and working closely with strategic partners, internal teams and stakeholders. The role will deliver Pieta’s flagship annual fundraising campaign, Darkness Into Light (DIL), and other campaigns on time and to budget ensuring a best-in-class experience for supporters, partners, and volunteer committees.. Ensuring a best in class supporter experience for volunteer committees, participants and donors will be vital.
Key areas of responsibility:
Plays a key role in the overall delivery of income across all channels for DIL and other campaigns
Responsible for the management of DIL and other fundraising campaigns as required to support Pieta’s strategic fundraising objectives
Manages and controls the Darkness into Light budget to plan ensuring savings and efficiencies where possible
Ensures compliance, transparency and governance requirements adhered to across all partners, committee and supplier relationships.
Manages key stakeholder relationships including supporting businesses and suppliers
Drives Q3 planning process to ensure that all potential opportunities to maximise income, reduce costs and drive participation in Pieta's key fundraising events are leveraged.
Manages the implementation of a strategic model for international market growth.
Delivers all technology and logistics, and all associated internal processes and activities around Darkness Into Light and other key campaigns
Ensures that all fundraising technology that is brought onstream is fit for purpose and oversees integration with Salesforce
Oversees the annual relaunch of the DIL website and other campaign websites as required
Responsible for the implementation of appropriate processes and procedures around logistics, technology, finance, administration
Provides regular analysis and reporting on all live campaigns as agreed / required by key stakeholders
Works with the Campaign Project Executive to brief all key suppliers ahead of major campaigns
Works with Finance and other internal stakeholders to reconcile income from Darkness Into Light and other campaigns and ensure categorisation of income is accurate
Oversees debrief of key suppliers post-campaign
Structured team management approach with clear KPIS, ongoing coaching and development.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience of project management – managing large and complex projects across multiple disciplines
Problem solving approach – and solutions focus. Uses data to inform decision-making and strategy.
Proven, extensive experience of stakeholder management – can quickly build rapport and buy-in at a senior level both internally and with key corporate partners
Wide knowledge of third party fundraising platforms, web management and CRM systems
Strong supplier management experience – strong on negotiation and cost management
Professional communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
Ability to prioritise and work independently to achieve results.
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and motivate staff, volunteers and supporters
Knowledge of the charity market and non-profit, donor charter and compliance requirements
Strong understanding of GDPR legislation and impact on donor acquisition and stewardship
