Pieta is a not-for-profit organisation based in Ireland providing care to those impacted by suicidal ideation and self-harm and those bereaved by suicide. The charity provides a comprehensive range of prevention, intervention and postvention services through its network of centres across the country, remotely via phone and video and its 24/7 helpline.

In addition, Pieta provides a suicide-bereavement liaison service. Services are made possible through the generosity of donors, the HSE and well-supported fundraising activities.

Location: Cork
Position Type: Full-time - 1-year fixed term contract
Salary: €54,600

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain the ethos of Pieta which is rooted in compassion and care

  • Monitor and support therapists in the delivery of safe, high quality therapeutic interventions

  • Respond to therapist’s clinical queries & oversee the clinical case management process to ensure good clinical governance & safe service delivery

  • Manage and respond to any Child Protection & Vulnerable adult issues, risks, or concerns

  • Conduct risk and suitability calls as part of fortnightly roster during service hours

  • Conduct bimonthly Management Support Meetings with therapists

  • Manager the therapy room planner for the Cork city centre

  • Chair case mgmt. meetings and oversee change management reporting – identify and address risks; escalate issues through to service manager

  • Ensuring best practice in clinical governance, up to date accreditation and insurance compliance of staff

  • Ensuring all therapists attend individual and group supervision. Organise group supervision and invoicing

  • Oversee client assessments and risk assessments, ensuring best practice, and supporting access to the service in line with our service model and ensure that risk management strategies are implemented and reviewed as needed

  • Oversee new starters, staff training, inductions, rostering, and record completion. Liaise with HR team and Regional Manager regarding recruitment needs

  • Act as a Pieta Clinical Representative in the local community as required and agreed by Regional Manager

  • Consult and collaborate with Regional Manager

  • Escalate areas of concern to Regional Manager

  • Implement all policies and procedures and monitor and ensure compliance by all staff

  • Work closely with operations department to ensure Health & Safety compliance in centres/with staff

  • Maintain an agreed clinical caseload and conduct assessments

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Be fully accredited with IACP, IAHIP, PSI, NAPCP or equivalent

  • A minimum of two years supervisory or management experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 

  • Experience of working with a broad cross section of staff and professionals, across agencies/communities

  • Be interested in and demonstrate a belief and enthusiasm for the work of Pieta

  • Experience with databases an advantage (e.g. Salesforce CRM)
