Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Digital Content Coordinator will plan, create and coordinate digital media content that aligns with Pieta’s mission, engages our audiences and helps raise essential funds to support our services.

Key responsibilities:

Social media and content creation:

  • Write clear, accessible content that supports engagement and campaign goals, with strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to independently source, plan, and create content.

  • Develop and execute an organic social media content calendar across all major platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube), working with the wider team to ensure alignment with campaigns and key organisational goals.

  • Plan and deliver organic social media content for key campaigns, including Darkness Into Light, No More Silence, and our Christmas appeal.

  • Strong hands-on graphic design skills and the ability to create on-brand, engaging, and shareable content - including text, images, videos, and infographics - tailored to each platform.

  • Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

  • Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to enhance Pieta’s social presence.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, update, and create digital assets that maintain consistency with our brand guidelines.

Community engagement and growth:

  • Actively engage with Pieta’s followers and supporters by responding to comments, messages, and queries across all platforms.

  • Foster a sense of community among followers, encouraging dialogue and participation in Pieta’s campaigns and initiatives.

  • Liaise with stakeholders, volunteers, and advocates to amplify our message and engage in collaborative campaigns.

  • Campaign management and performance analysis:

  • Support digital campaigns for fundraising, advocacy, and awareness, ensuring alignment with Pieta’s objectives.

  • Measure and report on the performance of organic social media content and campaigns, using insights to optimise future content, and support tracking needs (e.g. setting up UTM links when required).

  • Monitor social media metrics (engagement rates, impressions, conversions) and track the effectiveness of content and campaigns.

Collaboration and training:

  • Work closely with the advocacy, clinical and fundraising teams to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.

  • Develop and maintain Pieta’s social media best practice guidelines, policies, and procedures, as well as content schedules to support staff engagement across social channels.

  • Train staff and volunteers on social media best practices and strategies, ensuring the broader team understands how to engage effectively online.

  • Contribute ideas for campaigns to drive awareness and support for Pieta’s mission.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required at times. A degree of flexibility is required in this role.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1–2 years of proven experience as a Digital Content Coordinator or in a similar role, ideally within a non-profit organisation.

  • Excellent written communication, copywriting and design skills.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and usability best practices for digital content.

  • Strong understanding of social media metrics, SEO, Google Analytics, and the ability to analyse data to improve content.

  • Strong hands-on video and audio production skills and proficiency with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Ability to develop engaging multimedia content, including image and video production.

  • Highly organised with strong time-management skills, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to produce content.

  • Full, clean driving licence and own car for occasional travel to support campaign activities.

Desirable:
