Location: Tallaght, Dublin 24
Position Type: 12 month contract 40 hours per week over 5 days (Mon – Fri, 9am-5pm)

Role:

The Research and Evaluation Manager will work independently and as a member of a team to support the development of a research framework, and programme of research for the organisation.

They will be required to design, commission and execute research and evaluation projects as required and will ensure projects support data-informed strategic planning and decision making.

The successful candidate must be committed to delivering high-impact and actionable research and evaluation that informs, guides, and influences practice and policy with innovation, enthusiasm, flexibility, thoughtfulness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a framework to support the development and delivery of research and evaluation programmes

  • Liaise and build relationships with third level institutions

  • Design all research inputs for a portfolio of projects, determining appropriate strategy, methodologies and analysis protocols

  • Knowledge of funding opportunities and a track record in securing grants and funding

  • Manage project research budgets

  • To analyse and synthesise research results and to identify lessons learned and best practice for learning

  • To contribute to development of new concepts, projects and outputs, particularly during proposal writing, project extensions and renewals

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to plan, implement, report, and activate

  • recommendations from research and evaluation projects

  • Develop briefs, presentations, and reports that describe and interpret findings and provide actionable insights

  • Respond to ad-hoc research- and evaluation-related queries

  • Develop and completes annual professional development plan, in consultation with Management

  • Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings

  • Carry out other related tasks, requests, and duties as assigned

Skills & Experience:

  • 3 years' research experience in health/ mental health and /or counselling and psychotherapy

  • Minimum of Master's degree required

  • Management and project management experience

  • Proven research and evaluation experience and expert knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, interpret findings, discern implications, draw conclusions, and make recommendations

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis software, including ability to write complex syntax, and Microsoft Office suite required

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships internally and with external stakeholders (3rd level institutions, government bodies etc.)

  • Developing efficient work plans for complex projects involving many groups, and effectively implements and coordinates these plans
