This April thousands will head west to compete in one of the world’s most scenic running events – the Connemarathon! Whether you’re doing the half, full or ultra-marathon why not do it for Ireland’s leading suicide and self-harm prevention service, Pieta. Participants will find themselves passing mountains, glacier lakes, and the rugged landscape of Galway as they compete. Where and when does the Connemarathon take place?
The Connemarathon takes place in Connemara, Co. Galway with the three race distances (half, full and ultra) starting in different places and all finishing in Maam Cross. There are buses from Galway, Clifden and Oughterard.
The race takes place on April 19th with the first start at 9am
