6K Your Way - The Echo Women's Mini Marathon has gone virtual!
Earlier this summer, the 39th Echo Women’s Mini Marathon was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the event will take place as a virtual offering and hopefully as many people will take part to help support Pieta this year.
Participants will walk, jog or run the 6km in their own time on September 20th or in your own time after.
The event will be free to register. It’s 6km and you can complete that however you want either by walking, running or jogging in your back garden! When you are registering you will have the option to purchase a souvenir medal and race number to be posted to you.
We hope that the people of Cork will continue to support this fantastic event in these unprecedented times as they have done over the past 39 years. Best of luck!
Help bring light back into people’s lives by fundraising for Pieta and helping people who are struggling with thoughts of suicide and self-harm. Raise much needed funds for Pieta services nationwide while hitting the streets with the ladies in your life.
Each year Pieta receives phenomenal support from racers which helps run nationwide facilities for who are experiencing suicidal ideation or those who are engaging in self harm. Since opening in 2006, Pieta has reached 60,000 people through intervention, bereavement, suicide bereavement liaison officers and the Resilience Academy.
