Amber Flag for Business

Recognising and promoting mental health is an essential part of creating a safe and healthy workplace. Supportive and responsive organisations understand the needs of their workers, help to break down the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health and focus on their worker’s’ mental wellbeing.

  • By taking part in the Amber Flag for Business, your company is showing a commitment to creating a safer space for employees to improve mental health in the workplace and support each other.

  • By being part of your Amber Flag for Business Committee and getting involved in setting and achieving mental health goals, you can empower other people to prioritise their mental health, to overcome challenges, and build resilience.

How To Achieve Your Flag

  1. Complete the Amber Flag for Business registration form and pay registration fee. If you are registering a school or community group, register here.

  2. Create an Amber Flag for Business Committee within your organisation.

  3. Carry out an audit on what has already been done to promote positive mental health.

  4. Set and complete a minimum of 3 mental health awareness goals.

  5. Submit evidence of the goals achieved to Pieta.

  6. Receive a physical flag and a digital certificate and badge.

  7. Maintain Amber Flag for Business initiatives.

Participation Cost

Participation cost is dependent on company size. See a full breakdown below.

  • 1 - 19 Employees: Workplace contribution €2500

  • 20 - 49 Employees: Workplace contribution €5000

  • 50 - 99 Employees: Workplace contribution €10,000

  • 100+ Employees: Workplace contribution €15,000
