Terms and Conditions

The Prize:

Enter the raffle for a chance to win a pair of cinema tickets to watch all 12 episodes of Normal People in a central London cinema with Daisy Edgar-Jones, Paul Mescal, Lenny Abrahamson, Ed Guiney and more! There will be a Q&A following the 12th episode moderated by a special guest. 

The raffle can be entered by purchasing raffle tickets online.

All proceeds from the event will go to the chosen charities, Pieta (a registered charity in Ireland, charity number CHY16913) and UNICEF (a registered charity in Ireland, charity number CHY20008727). The raffle is a prize draw run under the license of Pieta. 

The prize draw will open on Thursday 30th May 2024 and closes at 11:59am Monday 10th June. 

The winners will be chosen randomly on Monday 10th June 2024. 140 winners will each receive two cinema tickets to the screening in a central London cinema on Sunday 16th June 2024, a maximum of one pair of cinema tickets per person.   

All winners drawn from the prize draw will be sent an email on Tuesday 11th June 2024 providing instructions for claiming their prizes.

Please note, winners are wholly responsible for any expenses which they incur in order to facilitate attending the event. This includes all transport, accommodation, subsistence, miscellaneous and all other relevant costs not mentioned here. Pieta and the organisers will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, losses of any kind or expenses incurred by the winner(s) as a result of the event being cancelled, rescheduled or moved to a different venue.

A maximum of one pair of cinema tickets per person will continue to apply.

The Competition:

1. Each single raffle ticket purchased for the draw is a chance to win a pair of cinema tickets. Cost of raffle tickets:

2. The raffle is open to anyone 18 years and over. No under 18s will be admitted to the event without the accompaniment of someone over the age of 18. 

3. Raffle tickets must be purchased online on the iDonate website. 

4. To enter fill in your details as directed on the web page and make the appropriate payment for the raffle. 

5. The purchaser will receive a verification of each raffle ticket purchased to the email provided. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide a correct email address. 

6. Entering multiple times will increase the chances of winning, however the maximum number of cinema tickets that can be won per person is two. 

7. All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on Monday 10th June 2024. 

8. The entries will be drawn and the winning raffle tickets will be awarded a prize of two cinema tickets for all 12 episodes of ‘Normal People’ in a central London cinema on Sunday 16th June 2024 in the order first drawn from the raffle. The winners will be notified via email on Tuesday 11th June 2024. 

9. If a winner is unable to attend, they must notify fundraising@pieta.ie promptly to allow for the spot to be filled by the next eligible winner. Email is the only form of communication acceptable, Pieta will endeavour to respond on a timely basis.

10. If any notification to winners is returned or undeliverable, or tickets not redeemed at the start of the event on Sunday 16th June 2024, such winners will forfeit all rights to receive these tickets.  

11. All winners must provide valid photographic ID (passport, driving licence, or ID card) matching the winning name to collect their tickets and gain entry to the event. 

12. Each prize draw winner must be present at the time of entry into the event and must be attending the event.  

13. No cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of stated prize. Any cinema tickets and/or winning raffle tickets are non-transferrable and any resale, transfer, or attempted transfer will invalidate them. 

14. This prize draw is a fundraising event for Pieta and UNICEF by Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, in association with Element Pictures. The lottery license is held by Pieta.  

15. All personal data collected as part of this registration is managed and protected by Pieta. Pieta will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the raffle. By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Pieta for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. 16. The payments of all costs and expenses involved in attending the event are the responsibility of the winner(s). Any and all applicable taxes or costs in relation to attending the event are the responsibility of the winner(s). Pieta and the organisers will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, losses of any kind or expenses incurred by the winner(s) as a result of the event being cancelled, rescheduled or moved to a different venue. The winner(s) is/are wholly responsible for any expenses which they incur in order to facilitate attending an event. This includes all transport, accommodation, subsistence, miscellaneous and all other relevant costs not mentioned here. Please be aware that events can, and are, cancelled and rescheduled from time to time and be prepared for this eventuality. You should make financial provision for this possibility personally or take out appropriate insurance to cover any such losses. 

17. The running order of the event may be subject to change. 

18. Organisers may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions or who has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, tampering with the operation of the prize draw, manipulating ticket sales, hacking, deceiving or cheating. 

19. Proceeds of the sale of the raffle will go to the beneficiaries Pieta (60%) and UNICEF (40%). The donation is non-refundable.

By entering the raffle each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
